What does Judo Mean?

Judo breaks down into ju (gentle) and do (way or path) or "the gentle way."  The term gentle is somewhat misleading.  It refers to the "Soft Method" which involves using your oponents strength against him and adapting well to changing circumstances.  In Judo you place yourself in a position where you can bear all of your strength and your opponent can not.
