FRAYSER JUDO CLUB 35TH OPEN INVITATIONAL
HELD UNDER THE SANCTION OF TENNESSEE JUDO, INC.
DATE: March 29, 2008
LOCATION: Ed Rice Community Center - 2907 North
Watkins – Memphis, TN 38127
REGISTRATION/WEIGH-IN 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
ELIGIBILITY: Must have current USJI, USJA, or USJF Card. All membership applications will be available at the tournament site. BRING YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD TO VERIFY ELIGIBILITY. THE STATEMENT “APPLIED FOR” WILL NOT SUFFICE. NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CARD OR CLUB ROSTER IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO COMPLETE A FORM AND PAY THE FEE TO COMPETE.

MATCH TIME: Junior Matches – 3 minutes; Senior Men – 5 minutes;
Master Men and Women Matchers – 3 minutes; Senior Women – 5 minutes.
SCORING: True Winner System. (Note) Where there are less than four (4) in any division we will use Double Elimination.

AWARDS: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Neck Ribbon Medals. Junior and Senior Team Award for Club massing most points.

ENTRY FEE: $20.00

DIVISIONS: JUNIOR BOYS – There will be a division for 5 & 6 years of age.
7 & 8 years L & H 11 & 12 years L & H
9 & 10 years L & H 13 & 14 years L & H
15 & 16 years L & H
JUNIOR GIRLS – Divisions will depend on number of entries
SENIOR WOMEN – Division will depend on number of entries
SENIOR MEN – 132, 145, 160, 178, 198, 220, and over 220
MASTERS MEN – 30 –39, 40 and up, Light and Heavy
MASTERS WOMEN – 30 and above, if we have enough for a match.

Juniors 14, 15, and 16 years of age will be allowed to play in Senior Competition under Senior Competition rules, PROVIDED PARENT AND COACH SO NOTE ON RELEASE FORM AND SIGN THAT STATEMENT.

MODIFICATIONS: Shime-waza (chokes) not allowed for juniors 12 years and under. Kansetsu-waza (arm locks) not allowed on Juniors 16 years and under. Rest time between matches 5 minutes.

NO FLYING SCISSORS ALLOWED IN ANY DIVISION
SAFETY ZONE SIZE WILL CONFORM TO PRE-1994 IJF RULES.
MEDICAL RULES-PRE 2002
TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ALTER WEIGHT DIVISION OR AGE.
